At SMART GYM COACH, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your personal data from our app and platform, and what to expect during this process.

Your Right to Deletion: According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and local data protection laws, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time.

Data to be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted:

Important Note: Some financial and accounting data must be retained for a specified period according to tax and accounting laws. This data will be anonymized so it cannot be personally linked to you.

Data Deletion Process

Follow these steps to request deletion of your data:

Submit Request

Send a data deletion request via email to privacy@smartgymcoach.com with the following information::

  • Your registered email address
  • Your full name as registered in the app
  • Reason for deletion request (optional)

Identity Verification

To protect your privacy and account security, we will ask you to verify your identity. We may request:

  • Answers to security questions
  • Confirmation via code sent to your email or phone
  • Additional information to verify account ownership

Review and Confirmation

We will review your request within 5 business days and send you a confirmation message including:

  • Details of data to be deleted
  • Data to be retained (if any) and the reason
  • Expected deletion timeline

Execute Deletion

After your final confirmation, we will delete your data within 30 days. This will include:

  • Deletion of all personal data from active databases
  • Deletion of backups during the next backup cycle (maximum 90 days)
  • Notification of relevant third parties about the deletion request

Final Confirmation

We will send you a final confirmation email stating that your data has been successfully deleted.

Deletion Timeline

  • Initial Response: Within 5 business days of request submission
  • Identity Verification: 1-3 business days
  • Active Data Deletion: Within 30 days of final confirmation
  • Backup Deletion: Maximum 90 days
  • Total: Up to 120 days for complete data deletion

What You Should Know Before Deletion

Warning: This action cannot be undone!

Before requesting account deletion, please note the following:

  • Permanent Data Loss: You will not be able to recover your data or progress records after deletion
  • Subscription Cancellation: All active subscriptions will be cancelled without refund
  • Immediate Access Loss: Your account will be disabled immediately after request confirmation
  • Impact on Trainers: If you work with a trainer, they will be notified of service termination
  • Shared Content: Any content you shared with other users may remain visible to them

Available Alternatives:

  • Temporarily Disable Account: You can disable your account instead of deleting it
  • Update Privacy Settings: You can restrict data sharing without deleting the account
  • Delete Specific Data: You can request deletion of specific types of data only

Special Cases

Trainer Accounts

If you are a certified trainer on the platform:

  • You must terminate all active contracts with clients before deleting your account
  • Financial transaction records will be retained according to legal requirements
  • Deletion may take longer to ensure your clients are not affected

Gym Accounts

If you represent a gym:

  • All members registered through the platform must be notified
  • Financial and contractual data will be retained according to law
  • You may need to provide additional documents to verify authority

Suspended or Banned Accounts

If your account is suspended or banned for violating terms:

  • You can still request deletion of your data
  • We may retain some data to prevent future abuse
  • Verification may take longer

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I recover my account after deletion?

No, account deletion is final and cannot be reversed. However, you can create a new account at any time, but you will not be able to recover your previous data or records.

What happens to my paid subscription?

Your subscription will be cancelled immediately without refund for the remaining period. We recommend waiting until the end of your subscription period before requesting deletion.

Will my data be deleted from third-party systems?

Yes, we will notify all external service providers (such as payment processors, analytics services) of your deletion request. However, they may retain some data according to their own policies and legal requirements.

How long does it take to delete all my data?

Most of your data will be deleted within 30 days. However, some data may remain in backups for up to an additional 90 days before being permanently deleted.

Can I request a copy of my data before deletion?

Yes, you can request a copy of all your personal data before deleting your account. Send a separate request to privacy@smartgymcoach.com and we will provide you with a copy of your data within 30 days.

What if I change my mind after submitting the request?

You can cancel the deletion request at any time before final confirmation. After final confirmation and the start of the deletion process, it cannot be stopped.
